Sundays are for lovers? Sure they are. But they are also for staying in bed as long as possible, only getting up to go to the kitchen or the needed bathroom once in a while. My Sunday has been exactly that: I’ve not left the bed for most of the day today. I am used to getting up every day to sit at the computer one time or another to work on my studies, write a paper and prepare the week ahead. This and next week I finally have vacation though (from uni), before the next module starts. So I’ve decided to stay lazy most of the day, talk to my friends on the phone (which can take hours when catching up) and to look through my photos and get everything a little more organized on the digital side. This is a picture of mini me, discovering my joy for driving at a young age already – I looked so innocent! :’)
Now it’s time to do something though – I cannot lie around the whole day – its been enough, I’ve enjoyed it, but now I need to get active. I’ve decided to sort through some more papers today, then get back into my swimming routine. Tonight will most likely be lazy again, too – and plan ahead for tomorrow (so not super lazy). It’s a public holiday tomorrow but I want to get some personal projects going again and work on that – to be updated soon! What are your plans? xo
Another day of meetings has passed, the electricity shut down on us today for almost an hour in the city of Zurich, the internet was dead for hours afterwards at the office, I handed in my assignment and it’s almost time to go to bed – finally! I remembered that I wanted to share a few more photos from NYC when I went back in March – and still have not done so. In looking through the photos I really miss it – it was such an amazing trip (yes, business mostly – but I had the chance to get a little of that ‘NYC lifestyle feeling’ on the weekend). Will I go again? For sure! Yet, I have not planned anything and am slightly doubting I’ll find the time this year. It’s only the end of April, I know, but I have been booking fights for every month up until November this year. It’s usually small trips, several short weekend trips, some business trips, and I will be booking a combined business-vacation trip for October soon, too. I am so excited it’s beyond words – and of course, I have to use this chance to tease you a little! Once it’s all booked and final (hopefully by the end of next month), I’ll make sure to update you though.
Now I quickly need to pack my stuff for the upcoming days: Düsseldorf and Norden (city up in the north of Germany). I’ll be flying tomorrow after work, meet the family, enjoying a girls-day with my mom and sister on Friday, and then we (including dad) will drive up to Norden on Saturday morning to meet the rest of the gang (aka the family). My grandma is turning 70, so almost the whole family is getting together, joined by some of her friends and neighbors and we will be going out for dinner and ‘partying’ afterwards. I haven’t seen them (all bundled up together) in quite a while, so I am surely looking forward to seeing them! Especially my little cousin, whom turned yesterday 3 (already!!). She is the most adorable kid and so incredibly mature for her age (she acts like she’s 6, at least!). With that, I should jump of social media, pack my stuff and jump straight into bed. xo
ps. make sure to add me on snapchat if you want to see more of my daily life (ranging from exquisite to double-chin-like selfies, daily impressions and of course little take-outs of my activities – and travels coming up)! @stylephantom
FriYay! Finally! This week has been filled with ups and downs like no other – I finally got my cast off on Tuesday and can finally use my wrist a little bit more. But (there’s always a but), it’s still quite stiff and I’ve got quite a bit of physiotherapy in front of me in the next weeks. The weather on the other side, has been brilliant this week – of course – only to get worse now that the weekend is approaching :'( .. It seems I have to swell in memory from my last vacation in Oman (Sifawy Hotel); ah, how much I miss the beach already!
However: surprise, surprise, surprise to me! My dad booked our next family holiday and I am SO excited! We will be flying to Cyprus for one week in October and it’s all about relaxing, relaxing and relaxing (and I will be scuba diving a bit as well)! It is a little while to go, but summer is just around the corner, which (should) normally mean great weather – especially at the lake here in Zurich. And, if I’m really lucky, there might be another vacation coming it’s way in summer – crossing fingers!
Now that I’ve been dwelling enough in day dreams, it’s time to quickly get some breakfast and then quickly jump to work. Unluckily, the weather really isn’t all too gloomy. Thankfully it’s Friday for that reason – and I wish you all a great day. xo
Happy New Year everyone! It’s amazing how fast time passes – 2014 is officially over and 2015 has started. I love the saying ‘you’ve got an empty book of 365 pages ahead of you (well, 364 now) and it’s in your hands to write the story.’ If you think about it, it really is us – we are the ones writing our own books, creating paths we want to follow and living the life we want to. At least, that is what I try on a daily basis.
If I look back to the beginning of 2014, 12 months ago, it seems that the year has ended too fast. On the other hand, so much has happened and I have enjoyed almost all of it. Yes, there have been little ups and downs but really, it’s been a great year. I have moved from Hamburg to Zurich, went from an internship position to a full-time job, started StylePhantom, met some amazing people, people that I will surely keep in my heart forever, have travelled and seen different places. 2014 has been a good year for me and I am keen on making 2015 an even more prosperous, an even more exciting, and more fulfilling year than 2014 has been.
I have so many little plans for this upcoming year, so many larger, great ones too. I want to travel, I have picked out places already, I have personal projects, I have plans for changing my apartment a little and I am so excited to making all these things happen – to sharing them.
Then, of course, there is so much I do not know. I don’t know what exactly will happen in 2015, I don’t know who I’ll be meeting next, what other projects I’ll be starting and what projects I’ll be finishing. I have no clue for so many things and the great thing is, I am so happy to be in the unknown sometimes. I love waking up and planning ahead of time and then having to throw over all my plans for something else. I love discovering each day by the day, each hour by the hour!
I am absolutely looking forward to this year and I surely will be writing my own little book – excited to fill in the next 364 days. And, obviously – wishing you the most prosperous year with the most breath-taking moments. xo

If there is one thing I never want to give up, it’s travelling to places I’ve never been too. Last weekend my father and I decided to do a roadtrip with the motorcycle, with no definite destination ahead of us. We knew we would start in Zurich, drive towards Innsbruck (Austria), head down to Italy towards the coast and eventually drive back up again- and so we did. After driving over the boarder down to Italy, going over the alps, the landscape got more beautiful with every kilometer we passed. Passing a little town up somewhere in the mountains, out of nowhere we saw an outlet for traditional German clothing. I immediately knew, that if they had a Dirndl (traditional dress you basically need for the Oktoberfest), I had to have one. Guess what? I got one – but that is another story, another post and another time I will report upon that.
Towards the evening we decided to head down to Peschiera del Garda. Now let me tell you – I completely fell in love! This little town all the way down at the south of the lake made me feel like I was in vacation, better yet: in heaven. It felt like I had left all pressure, all worries (not that I have many), all bad thoughts and all stress behind me. I was suddenly fully relaxed and it felt like I had needed it in forever. I was love-struck, to say at the least.
Peschiera del Garda is a relatively small town. We arrived in the evening just when the sun went down and all streetlights were turned on. It was a beautiful view, one that I am missing right this second whilst writing and thinking back to the weekend. Oh, how much I would do to be there again. That evening we also had the most delicious food, ever! You cannot imagine how much meat I ate, what an amazing Rosé I had, what a great experience it was and how little we spent on it. It was a recommendation by the hotel and it was worth every penny we spent. He had told us the place as if it was a secret and it surely was magical. The food was breathtakingly amazing. I will definitely post all about the food next time – trust me, the pictures are making me hungry the minute I looked over them.
You see that little bag further down on the photo? That little piece of paper with the words Gucci on them made me SO happy! I instantly felt like a child being fed with candy. Oh, I am so easily satisfied, it is almost embarrassing. But I did, I got a little something (I’m sure you can all guess what) and had to grin all night. Ever since I bought this beauty, I have been wearing it every single day.
Later that night we decided to up the hill and found an amazing bar that was placed outside. They had great background music on and I can tell you the glasses they served were HUGE. Huge is probably not even the right word, compared to what I am used to from Zurich, they were enormous – one glass surely made me happy and satisfied. Writing to you about the trip makes me almost sad now – I really wish I could go back! – and simultaneously so happy – I feel so blessed I was able to experience that little amazing town. I surely, definitely, to a hundred percent, will go back. The atmosphere was magical, the lake view breath taking, the weather amazing (we had around 29C at midnight) and the Gelato (oh, how I love ice-cream) was to bathe in.
Thinking back, I cannot wait for my next vacation! Until then, I wish you all a great continuing week – hey, it’s almost weekend!
