Look at this little bundle of love! This is the friends baby that we visited over the weekend and I was sooo in love with. Seriously, this little boy basically never cries, slept 7.5h through Saturday night and only gets “loud” when he is hungry. He is such an easy baby and I really, really hope ours will be too in the future! Don’t get overly excited though, I am not pregnant nor planning to be in the next couple of years haha! There’s still too much going on in our lives and we want to enjoy the time we have for now :) Nevertheless: wouldn’t I be such a cute mom?! haha
Today I’ll be at the conference the whole day that I wrote about yesterday – let’s see what that will be like. Surely am looking forward to it!
What a lovely day it was yesterday! I was able to work from home as the rest of the team is out of office. It also allowed me to go out with my love and our two fur-babies and enjoy the sun at around noon. Yesterday was such an amazing weather; I really cannot get over it. Today is rather cloudy and a few drops of rain are supposed to hit down on us. Otherwise not all too much happened – a regular work day, I guess. We will have a friend over tonight for BBQ so I am looking forward to that.
I also started going to the gym again. Really not the biggest fan haha :) I guess I need to get into my routine again. But then again, it surely is healthy and allows me to calm down after a full day of stress. Or even get more energy when working out before the day starts at the office (though let’s be honest; I am not a morning person whatsoever!).
ps. sorry for the photo quality – I only had my iPhone with me and had to brighten up the photos for you to see anything :)
Last nights dinner: super easy, done in 10 minutes and I’d like to say semi-healthy, too. We had gyozas filled with mushrooms and chicken, which we got at our local asian store close by. I absolutely love these things and may just call them my new favourite meal for when I don’t want to cook for long. Honestly, we only had to steam them for about 10-12 minutes and prepare the salad on the side. For the steaming we used our Thermomix. Samuel bought it a while ago and I am slowly but surely loving it more and more. It really does make life easier sometimes.
Otherwise, our day was rather less exciting: typical Mondays. I worked from home today, took Zaphira to the vet (the bandage was taken off), and we were able to cook at home for both lunch and dinner. We’re trying to cut down on eating out; for health reasons and to try and spend a little less on food. Let’s see how long we can last ;) We did go out on Saturday, though, and really enjoyed that. We decided that once a week we will continue having our date night out with a good dinner at some cute restaurant. Can any of you recommend any good restaurants in Zurich that are not on the top of list of every google search?
Happy Sunday! Our morning wasn’t all too exciting or bright; in fact, we cleaned the apartment. Once Fridolin (the third dog) was picked up, we had a little breakfast (such a good oat meal for me!) and got our bikes ready. Finally! I haven’t been on the bike in way too long and I was excited as a kid. Especially, because I bought a basket for Zaphira to sit in. She wasn’t all too happy about it in the beginning but did calm down and even lie down whilst I was driving towards the end. I ordered this KlickFix Doggy Basket online and I can say: it was worth the money!
Zaphira is doing pretty well again. If it was for her, she would be chasing the ball again at full speed. But because we didn’t want to overdo it yet, the bikes seemed a perfect idea. This way I allowed her some light jogging next to me driving and in between put her in the basket to rest.
Next, I want to try and bike to the city for work during the week when the weather is good. It would be a refreshing change to our routine and surely a healthier option than taking the train everyday. I checked out google maps and it told me I would be riding about 40-45 minutes. That should be do-able.
Now, for the rest of our Sunday we are more likely going to chill. Samuel is training is golf swings, I need to prepare some content and work on an email or two, the dogs will get another walk later and I am thinking about what dinner we could have tonight.
As you all may know by now – from having seen my IG stories and photos – I was once again in Saas Fee this year for business. This little town up in the alps is magical for me. I’ve written a post about it previously, and will thus not go into too much detail about it now. The drive up into the mountains was once more breath-taking and this time my boyfriend and our two puppies joined! The business events lasted from Wednesday night up until Friday and once again I learned more than I could have imagined in such a short time frame. Amazing! Friday night my man sadly had to return to Zurich early so I stayed in Saas Fee with the dogs and my family (parents & sis). Saturday, before driving back to Zurich, we decided to go for a small hike with the dogs. The path right from Saas Fee took us a bit further up into the mountains. We saw marmots (which you can actually feed with peanuts out of your hands!), walked past a huge water mill and saw the slowly melting glacier up in the mountains. All in all, it was absolutely wonderful. That is of course, if you’re such a nature fanatic like myself. Also: I think the dogs had the time of their lives!
