Those pouts

2 Permalink

Happy Sunday loves! It’s been a crazy long weekend. I was out with a friend on Friday for spontaneous drinks and was hoping to be home early. Well, figures I came home at 2.30am. Same thing with yesterday – after a full day of studies I left in the evening for a goodbye party and clubbing afterwards. I was so exhausted when I got there that I thought I’d never manage the evening. Well, turns out I went over the point of tiredness and partied until 4.30am this morning! Sadly I couldn’t sleep in much because I always wake up semi-early. Tonight will surely be an early one for me though. I feel like I’ve become to old for this – and honestly, I probably shouldn’t even be saying that.

As most of you have noticed I have this thing for pouts. Honestly, as soon as my selfie camera comes into play or someone puts a lense in my direction – I pout. And as much as I love some of those smile pictures, I usually still pout. I swear it’s a characteristic I can’t get rid of. But what I’m getting at is that I always place a lot of focus on the face (lips, eyes, brows – the whole game). I’ve gotten a little lazy these days with make-up, though tried fake lashes the first time last night (and generally got really into applying some more!). Pretty damn nice when you open those fully lashed eyes!

For that perfect pout I found a new product on the market that just about enhances it to perfection. It’s a lip filling serum, called Vivi Lips N°1, and I really got a hook on it. It doesn’t give me those Kylie lips just yet (maybe luckily), but it surely does fill the lips a bit, makes them plumper and less folds (wrinkles?) appear. After application you notice a little tingle on your lips and voila – give it 10-15 minutes and you start seeing a slight yet natural difference. Oh, and it’s a swiss made – which I always appreciate. We live in a world where almost nothing is “home” made anymore when it comes to products and most of my products probably come from some Asian country. So if there is one thing I always enjoy investing in, it’s a product from where I live. So I thought I’d share my finding with you on this lazy sunday (though I admit, I can’t even sit still today). With that, I’ll jump off to start cleaning a bit and wish you a great end to the weekend. xo

Good morning lovies and a happy Sunday! Did you all change the clock last night? Yes – it is officially summer time again and we can stay up one hour longer (or so I pretend)!

I am officially back home in cold, cold Zurich (so much for the summer time … ugh!). I arrived yesterday early afternoon and – as much as I love traveling and being abroad – I am so glad to be home again. Home means my bed, my pillows, my food, my cooking, my lazy Sunday. Yup, I am so glad to be home again, no matter how much I enjoyed the week off. And I really did – I loved it! We (my bestie and I) didn’t sleep in too much, as we went diving everyday except Wednesday and Friday, which always started at 8 am – too early! But it’s so much fun – I would’ve never imagined it to be so calming to dive. The weather really got me spoiled though – we had around 34°C daily and still 28°C at night – I lived in my bikini and the wetsuit when diving. It was magical!

Now that I am back in grey, rainy Zurich, I already miss Oman! Oh, how warm it was! It is freezing here and I’ve been wearing a sweater ever since I got home, trying to acclimatize myself to these temperatures. Sadly, the outlook for the upcoming week isn’t any better :-( .. rain, rain, rain! I am crossing fingers that it will be nicer next weekend for Easter! Have you gotten prepared everything already in regards to decorations? I will be working on my last decorations more or less today – DIY time it is!

The family is coming today (mom, dad, sis & dog) and I will have them all here for the next 10 days  – so nice! We will be spending easter at my place this year – now that I’ve finally got the space – and so the decoration needs to be done! I need to plan and pre-organize most of it until tomorrow, Monday, night as I will be going for surgery on Tuesday – oh, I really don’t want to! They will cut open my right wrist and fix some stuff there as I keep on having problems with my tendons – worst part: I am right-handed! Goodbye using my right hand for the upcoming weeks it seems! I am crossing fingers however, that I will be able to semi-type, either well with left only or at least a little with the right (work is waiting, the blog needs updates and uni assignments will be due). Have any of you had surgery on your wrist before? Luckily I will be out in the evening and do not need to stay overnight. The surgery itself will only last an hour as well, but until I am fully awake again and everything is ready it will be evening. Ugh, I am seriously shitting myself! Wednesday I will go back to get it checked once more and then soon physiotherapy starts – joy!

Anyway, now that I finally have full on internet again I will be able to show you more of the pictures I took in Oman – so excited to share! For today I will be “only” sharing my photos, which some of you might have already seen on Instagram. – which is, by the way, one of my social media apps I try updating daily!

I shall now continue snuggling into my blanket, have my overnight oats I made last night (will share recipe soon!), finish some last easter decorations and inspire myself with recipes to cook for next week before the family comes later today. Wishing you a wonderful lazy and relaxed Sunday! xo

Happy February! It’s the month of love and Valentine’s day is coming up! How exciting! I already got a portion of love this past weekend from my best friend. Technically, I guess I could say it daily – I have a couple of besties in my life and I swear I couldn’t imagine it without them. I am so grateful for all the memories, for all the fun times I was able to share with them, for all their time they give me when I just need to let some of my worries out, the countable times when I just need someone to be next to me or when I need to tell someone about my broken heart. They are there for me no matter what – it’s like family. Simultaneoulsy, I try to give those things back and am thankful for everyday I have them in my life.

This past weekend I saw one of my best friends again, Virginia, for coffee in Zurich. She is the one I am planning my upcoming vacation with in March and I am uber excited about it! What I didn’t expect is the present I got from her. It’s actually my birthday present from November, which she has been keeping for a while now because we somehow haven’t managed to see each other as often as we would have liked in the past weeks. She lives in Geneva so I only see her from time to time – everytime being special. She is one of those friends you can gossip about anything with, laugh at the weirdest jokes with and one that will listen to me when I have all sorts of unimportant ‘girl problems’ in life.

I love wearing earrings – I need a pair on a daily basis. I actually don’t switch around all too much with earrings, as I want them to be elegant, yet classy enough to wear at work. Therefore, big, great fashionable earrings don’t really work whilst on business. These earrings however are perfect for wearing everyday. I love how they have gold on them, which fits my rings and watch just perfectly. I actually made a couple of shots of me wearing these on Sunday, so I will be sharing them with you this week as well.

As for now, I wish you all a great start into the new week, the new month and lots and lots of love! xo

Strolling through Amsterdam

0 Permalink

Hey everyone – I hope you had a wonderful first week after the New Year has started. It goes by so fast! I swear I say this on every post, but I cannot get over how fast time passes sometimes. My week started pretty calm with work, though I had a lot to work on that has build itself up over my vacation. Done with that, now the new things are strolling in already. Speaking of strolling: I just found more photos I took when my sister and I were strolling through Amsterdam. I cannot get over how pretty this city is – I really have to go again, once it’s warmer.

I especially love the little houses – they seem so squished in. It’s an art for itself and really, its super smart. During a boat’s tour I learned that the slimmer the houses in Amsterdam are, the less taxes you pay. That explains the amount of slim houses – it’s incredible if you think about it! Walking past a few breath-taking streets along the canals I noticed many offices of great, known firms. It makes sense if they pay less taxes, too! But I don’t want to bore anyone with taxes haha – so below find you can find some shots from our stroll through the city.

I’ll now get ready to meet one of my friends at her new place – love discovering new places, it’s always such great inspiration! I wish you all a cozy and great Saturday! xo

Torture tour in Amsterdam

0 Permalink

Happy Monday everyone! It’s official – vacation is sadly over already! Quite honestly though, I was looking forward to getting back to the office again. Now that I’m back, I know I could use vacation again soon haha. And here it goes: I’ve booked an amazing vacation for March with my bestie – so, so excited! I’ll be telling you all about it soon!

I still have quite a few pictures left to share with you from my weekend trip to Amsterdam – damn, there was just so much to see! I still haven’t seen all of it, so I decided I will have to go again. This time though, I want to go in summer and discover Amsterdam with a bike.

On Sunday of our weekend trip we decided to go to several museums: one of them being the famous Museum of Torture. I really thought there would be nothing in there that could surprise me – but damn, I’m so glad I didn’t live back then. The torture methods they used were insane – the pictures already gave me major goosebumps. However, it’s definetely something to see when you’re in Amsterdam and even teaches you great stuff about the history (mostly) in Europe.

I just had an amazing salade (with avocado and pear) for dinner and will most likely jump onto the couch quite soon. I also want to start a new book these days – I’ve gotten quite a few for my birthday and on Christmas! Enjoy your evening, xo.
